Northstar Home Inspections was born from my desire to do something meaningful with the skills and experience I have. I wanted to do something I love and I wanted to make a real difference in people’s lives. Taking inventory of my strengths and passions, the answer was clear and I’ve never looked back.
Personally, my wife and I have purchased homes and have found that it can be complex, at times very frustrating. The inspection period is possibly the most critical step in the entire process. All the house hunting, checking out schools, googling commute times, etc…. You finally have a contract on a house that you think might be perfect. You are excited and a little scared. There is a small window of time to make sure you are not making any mistakes. In this moment, you need someone you can trust. That is the reason Northstar HI exists and it is the reason I love my job.
Professionally from top to bottom, I have had a hand in residential construction.
In my 20 plus years in the construction industry, I have worn many hats, from operating heavy machinery, installing water and sewer services along with excavating and grade work. Also, framing of new homes, along with complete renovations of my own rental properties, as well as working with investors.
I love homes. Point to anything in your house and there is a good chance I have installed or repaired something just like it in the past. However like styles, methods and systems change constantly and I am constantly striving to be a leader in the home inspection profession by continued education and emerging technology.
I also know that “knowing stuff” is only part of the equation. You should have confidence that I only work for you. No biases, no ulterior motives, no concern for what a seller, realtor or anyone else may think. When you hire me, know that I am committed to integrity and professionalism.
